The Casal de Joves will host on Friday May 10, as part of the Festes de Primavera, the first edition of the Employment Fair 'Girafeina', an initiative promoted by the Chamber de Comerç de Barcelona del Baix Llobregat with the collaboration of Sant Feliu de Llobregat City Council. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., this day will bring together companies and people looking for work in an event dedicated to promoting employment.

The event will be attended by the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu; the mayor of Sant Feliu, Lourdes Borrell; the president of the Area of Economic Development and Promotion of the City, Jaume Manyoses; the president of the Area of Attention to Citizenship and Open Administration, Juan Francisco López; the councilor for Markets, Fairs and Tourism, Margarita Llongueras; the adviser for Economic Development of the Regional Council of Baix Llobregat, Fernando Vicente Benetti; as well as representatives of the Chambers of Commerce.
 
The authorities will visit the 7 spaces dedicated to the Secondary Education institutes of Sant Feliu de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí and the Center for Innovation and Occupational Training of Sant Feliu de Llobregat, outside of the Youth Center. They will then visit the 18 spaces dedicated to companies, inside the Casal.

The aim of Girafeina is to connect the needs of the labor market with the professional aspirations of the candidates. Among other spaces, the Employment Fair will have a space dedicated to local companies looking for professional talent. In addition to spaces for direct contact with companies, the fair will offer orientation areas to resolve doubts and inform about the services available to find work. Girafeina also has a web space where interested people can register and access job offers, which will be updated.

At the end of the visit to the Girafeina space, Minister Jordi Hereu will go to the Municipal Market accompanied by the local authorities.
