Rose Dot and Camprubí
El Roserar de Dot and Camprubíva were born in 1997 on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the National Exhibition of Roses, when a set of proposals were made, including the creation of a space in the city dedicated to the rose. The Roserar de Dot and Camprubí adopted this name in tribute to the main Roserist families related to Sant Feliu. Located in the neighborhood of Les Grases, El Roserar is a 1.7-hectare rose theme park with 20,000 rose bushes and over 400 varieties of roses.
A sustainable park
In 1998, three schools workshop worked on the realization of the rose garden and from the outset they opted to park and use of sustainable materials in its construction, as well as rainwater harvesting and the remaining risks.
In March 2015 opened module services rose garden, this building serves to support the activities carried out in the park, related to the world of roses, but also with more general aspects of gardening and botany.
The building of approximately 130m2, consists of a bar and a space dedicated to classroom, in addition to the services.
Collections
In the park you can find various collections of roses and from these collections shows the morphology of roses, colors, sizes and scents, as well as the wide range of characteristics, qualities and properties offered world of pink.
Also to show the work of the country roseristes as Camprubí Munn, Bofill Pahissa Ferrer, who helped advance the creation of new varieties, and especially Pere Dot roserista the most universal of all.
Another collection are the roses that served all these breeders to make your job search for new varieties, botanical roses from around the world, or old roses. The recovery of all varieties, to have disappeared from our country, many of them scattered around the world, make this project live in constant search for adding new items to complete and improve the collective existing collections of various breeders.
The park is divided into three major platforms. At first there is a place and a small service building, and the other two are forming the space of collections of roses.
