Sant Feliu City Council participates in the 7th InnpulsoEmprende meeting with the Nextus project

This Wednesday, May 8, the seventh edition of InnpulsoEmprende was held, on innovation as a driver of urban and rural development, with the participation of more than thirty mayors and mayoresses, as well as the innovative entrepreneurial fabric of their municipalities .

This annual meeting, promoted by the Innpulso Network and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, was held at the Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC) in Barakaldo, with the support of Barakaldo City Council. The main objective of Innpulso Emprende is to facilitate interaction between municipal officials and entrepreneurs, while recognizing the most innovative initiatives of the participating municipalities.

Sant Feliu de Llobregat is a city that is currently experiencing a process of transformation at all levels: urban, digital, social, economic and environmental. This transition represents a great challenge for the city and that is why Sant Feliu is betting on the creative and cultural industry and educational innovation as transformative levers. Thanks to this commitment, we manage to attract talent to the city that provides innovative educational solutions, generating an impact on the learning of children and young people, educational centers and families. As a sample of this talent of the city, Sant Feliu has been represented by Nextus, a startup incubated in the city that is revolutionizing teaching methodologies with a technological proposal that connects the audiovisual with the educational.

Eloi Trullàs, product manager of the startup incubated in Sant Feliu, Nextus, has been in charge of representing the city in this edition presenting his project, accompanied by the councilor for Open and Citizen Innovation, Juan Francisco López.

Nextus is an educational platform that introduces quality audiovisual in learning processes. A pedagogical team facilitates the educational use of documentaries, segmenting them into clips of 1 to 7 minutes, grouping them and proposing teaching activities that encourage debate, creativity and critical thinking. More than 2,000 audiovisual proposals in original version and subtitled in 5 languages on gender perspective, climate change, ODS, innovation or entrepreneurship designed for the classroom.

The Nextus project is democratizing access to learning through audiovisuals, for its return to the city since all our educational centers have free and unlimited access to all the content of its platform and because the its impact is crossing borders reaching more than 500 educational centers and 150,000 young people in Spain, Germany and Greece.
